by limiting access to only relevant members; and provides members with a list of only those opportunities that match the
member's interests, professional experience and capital resources. Therefore, to maximize the number of team role matches,
it's important for you to provide as much detail as possible in your member profile.
Here's a few tips for modifying key fields in your member profile to improve matches:
- Industry Interest Categories: make sure you select all categories that relate to you startup venture
interests. Even if you only have an interest in opportunities that make up a small portion of an industry category, you
should still select the category. You can select more than one category.
- Industry Interest Tags: this is where you should list as many keywords and phrases as possible,
relating to your interests. Separate each keyword and phrase by commas. List keywords individually and repeat them as part
of related phrases (for example: coffee, shop, coffee shop, miami coffee shop). By increasing the number of tags you
create, we will be able to provide more team role matches to you.
- Cash Investment: keep in mind, when you select 'No' for Cash Investment you will not receive matches
for any team roles where the Team Lead has indicated cash investment is needed, even if the cash investment requirement is
small. So you may consider updating your profile to 'Yes' for Cash Investment, and indicating a maximum value you would
consider contributing to a venture. Of course, this is just an estimate and does not represent any commitment from you.
- Industry Experience Categories: make sure you select all categories that relate in any way to your
prior professional experience. For example, maybe you have worked for a financial services form in a marketing function.
This means you should select the 'Financial Services, Insurance, Investments' category and you should also select the
'Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations' category.
- Industry Experience Tags: this is where you should list as many keywords and phrases as possible,
relating to your prior professional experience. Separate each keyword and phrase by commas. List keywords individually and
repeat them as part of related phrases (for example: java, java programmer, developer, java developer, programmer, computer
science, systems development, Internet developer, Internet development, Internet)
Your Team Automatch results are constantly changing as new team roles are created and members update team profiles. So
